Yes. Where appropriate, we consider recycled, responsibly sourced and lower-impact materials, as well as low-VOC finishes and products with a long service life. We also look for opportunities to reduce construction waste and make thoughtful material choices without compromising performance, durability or budget.
Where practical, yes. We prefer to carefully deconstruct rather than simply demolish, giving existing materials and fixtures the opportunity to be reused, repurposed or recycled. This can reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill and, if materials can be reused on the project, can reduce disposal and replacement costs.
Good insulation, thoughtful orientation, shading and high-performance glazing can help reduce unwanted heat gain and loss, lowering the energy needed to heat and cool your home.
