When we say keep it light, we are also talking about the colours you choose to style the room with. Yes, an all-black interior can look clean and modern if you already have a big floor plan. But, if you are working with a small space, dark colours can quickly make it feel claustrophobic. Another great way to make your home feel more spacious is by removing any unnecessary walls. For example, instead of having a wall that separates your living room from your kitchen and dining room, you can create an open floor plan to make all 3 of these rooms form one big open space.
