GROWING FAMILY

This project was sparked out of the need for individual spaces in this growing family. With two toddlers and a newborn this family was outgrowing their existing house and needed individual rooms for the kids, separate work spaces for both Mum and Dad when working from home, and the addition of a second bathroom and toilet for the kids. We were able to convert their tired existing bathroom into a fresh modern ensuite with attached ‘his and hers’ walk in robe sections. With the need for connectivity a smart home data hub was installed that allows each room its own NBN connection point. Allowing Mum and Dad to monitor consumption. In addition, sustainability was a priority with a high quality solar system attached to a new Tesla Powerwall 2 battery. This allows the family to create and consume their own power, keeping living costs down. Insulation was also added to the floors, walls and ceilings to keep the house cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
